Jose D. T. Salazar

Jose continues to provide part-time support as an Aviation Safety Instructor at the FAA Academy. He plans, prepares and evaluates the learning material and contents of each of his scheduled lessons for accuracy, and validity.

Jose has extensive FAA Regulatory experience as a certified Airframe & Powerplant technician coupled with Certification and Oversight experience, ranging from Parts 121, 135 and 145 Regulations.

Jose was a FAA Regional Specialist that provided technical assistance to approximately 15 FAA Field Offices on a wide range of field support ranging from General Aviation to Air Carrier Activities. He would conduct extensive research on programs requested by the field inspectors coordinating his research with FAA Headquarters on various Aviation related topics ranging from Designated Airworthiness Representatives, complex Part 145 Specialized Services to Parts 121 and 135 Operations.

Jose has an extensive background as a Quality Control Inspector from the United States Air Force coupled with experience in complex maintenance activities on C-141 Aircraft as a crew chief and a flight engineer.
