Larry G. Wilkinson has been actively engaged in aviation safety and training/evaluation for 54 of his 57 years of aviation experience; 20 years as a U.S. Army Master Army Aviator engaged in flight training, standardization/evaluation in turboprop airplanes and turbine-powered helicopter; over 27 years employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an Operations Aviation Safety Inspector (ASI) and supervisor, as a Principal Operations Inspector (POI) assigned to Part 135 operators, Part 135 regional commuter air carrier, Part 121 air carriers, Part 141 approved flight schools, Part 137 agricultural operators, Part 91 operators, and as the Part 142 Training Center Program Manager assigned oversight of CAE SimuFlite at the DFW airport; and 10 years of experience in a mix of general aviation flight instruction, charter, corporate aviation, and Part 135 air carrier and commuter operations During Larry’s career with the FAA he was instrumental in presenting the first ever issued, FAA Approved Part 142 Training Center Certificate to CAE SimuFlite in 1997. Larry holds an ATP certificate with type ratings in the Gulfstream G-IV, Dornier DO-328 regional turboprop, SA-227AC/DC/C-26, Beechcraft BE-1900/300, Commercial Helicopter-Instrument Helicopter, and CFI ASE&MEL, Instrument -Airplane. Larry was awarded the prestigious FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for over 50 consecutive years of dedicated service in aviation safety.
